Petersburg Area Transit (PAT)


Petersburg Area Transit provides local bus transportation to Petersburg, Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie, and Hopewell. PAT also offers connections to GRTC and Greyhound.

The route comes from Petersburg up the Boulevard, turns right on Ellerslie Avenue, right onto Conduit Road, left on Temple Avenue and then east toward Southpark Mall.
There are over 20 bus stops throughout Colonial Heights.

The route takes one hour, starting at 6:15 am from Petersburg (Saturday route begins at 7:15 am) and makes its final run starting at 6:15 pm and returning to Petersburg around 7 pm. The route operates Monday through Saturday.

Para-Transit Service



ADAPAT is pleased to offer paratransit service for persons with disabilities living in the City of Petersburg, in the City of Colonial Heights, the City of Hopewell, Prince George County and Dinwiddie County. In addition to fixed route service, Petersburg Area Transit provides door-to-door, wheel chair equipped van service for qualified persons. Reservations for next day service will be taken Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm by calling Petersburg Area Transit at (804) 733-2413. Confirmation will be made the same day or the morning of the next regular business day. The paratransit service is available 6:00 am until 6:15 pm.
