Media Releases - 10-26-17 PD Media Release: Colonial Heights Police and Public Schools Conduct Annual Training

Brief Description - On October 26, 2017, the Colonial Heights Police Department and Colonial Heights Sherriff’s Office, in coordination with Colonial Heights Public Schools, conducted active shooter training and a lock down drill at the Colonial Heights Middle School, and Colonial Heights High School to include its Vocational building. This critical training allows officers to practice a coordinated response to an active shooter incident, as well as for school staff and students to practice proper school procedures in a lock down situation.
