Baby and Toddler Storytime - Monday July 16 at 10:00am

This program is an opportunity for parents with babies and toddlers to enjoy an interactive storytime as each child and caregiver shares a copy of a book while the presenter reads aloud to the group. There will be a variety of music, fingerplays, and activities with musical instruments and bubbles. No registration is required.

Freezing and Melting - Monday July 16 at 11:00am

Picture1Come join  us for a STEM program that includes stories, science experiments, and some tasty treats! Frozen treats provide a familiar and fun context for learning about changes in matter. Through engaging read-alouds and some “cool” activities, students learn about solids, liquids, freezing and melting. We will be making vanilla ice cream from scratch to demonstrate changes in matter. Yum! This program is intended for children in Pre K - grade 3. No registration is required.

Stellaluna Storytime - Wednesday July 18 at 10:00am

Join us for an interactive program presented by Bat World Sanctuary. This program begins with a reading of the popular book about a small fruit bat named Stellaluna, who is raised by birds. After the story, the children discuss with the presenter things that they learned from the story about the differences between bats and birds. The children learn about different kinds of bats and what they eat, where they live, and the benefits they provide. Live bats are shown, including a bat from the United States and an African fruit bat (the kind of bat on which Stellaluna was based). Children will love to see this book character come to life. This program is intended for children Pre K - grade 1. No registration is required.
