The American Red Cross has started a “Battle of the Badges” Campaign where Fire Departments and Police Departments compete across the region in an effort to secure more donors. The Competition for the Tri-Cities teams up Colonial Heights Fire Department with Petersburg Fire Dept and Hopewell Fire Dept. They are going to be “competing” against the police agencies in the Tri-cities area. The Fire Department’s day is May 4^th (International Firefighter’s Day) at Southpark Mall from 1pm to 7pm at the entrance closest to Planet Fitness. Please see the attached flyer for more information as well as instructions to ensure donations are counted towards the Fire Department Tally.
