"Light Up the Night Against Crime" 5K Walk/Run Event

Event Details:

The Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers is proud and excited to announce the 2023 “Light Up the Night Against Crime” 5K run/walk, which will be held on October 7, 2023, at White Bank Park. This is the first time this event has been held in the City of Colonial Heights. 

Registration will begin at 5:30 PM and the run/walk will begin at 7:00 PM.  The proceeds for this event will directly impact the Crime Solvers organization to continue to provide an avenue for citizens to provide tips on crimes anonymously.  These proceeds also assist in the cash rewards that are provided if the tip leads to an arrest of an offender.

About Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers: 

The Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers 5K provides many ways for our citizens to support their efforts. The organization is 501(c) 3; therefore, any donations are tax deductible. There are several levels of sponsorship for the 5K race, to include Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Marker.  The Platinum level requires a $2,500.00 fee, which will allow for a logo/name on the start/finish line banner, logo/name on the official 5K T-shirt, and six (6) complimentary tickets to the event.  The Gold level requires a $1,500.00 fee, which allows for a prominent logo/name to be placed on the back of the T-shirt and five (5) complimentary tickets to the event.  Silver level requires a $1,000.00 fee, which allows for a logo/name on the back of the T-shirt below the gold members and three (3) complementary tickets to the event. Bronze level requires a $500.00 fee, which allows for a logo/name on the back of the T-shirt and two (2) complementary tickets to the event.  The last sponsorship level is Marker, which requires a $100.00 fee and a name can be placed on the back of the T-shirt and a logo/name will be placed on a kilometer marker sign on the race route.  Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers staff will also be on hand, and anyone can donate to the organization in support of reducing crime in and around Chesterfield/Colonial Heights.  All the sponsor levels are eligible to be placed on promotions and publicity for the event and will be announced at the beginning and ending of the event.  

Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers began in 1984 and have served these jurisdictions faithfully for 39 years.  Since the inception of this organization, they have received over 29,500 tips, solved over 8,500 crimes, recovered over $2.5 million in property, seized over $1 million in illegal narcotics, and provided over $650,000.00 in rewards to anonymous tipsters. It is clear from the statistics provided the value Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers provides to combat crime.
