  • No. On March 13, 2018, City Council voted to repeal the City Ordinance requiring the display of a City Vehicle License Decal. Citizens are still required to register any newly acquired vehicles with the Commissioner of the Revenue within 30 days of acquiring them. Vehicles no longer owned should also be reported.

  • Yes. Yard sale and sign permits are $5 and can be obtained in the Commissioner of Revenue's Office. For additional information click on Yard Sales on the City website or call (804) 520-9280. Yard sales are not permitted on Sunday.

  • The Commissioner of Revenue's Office administers programs offering real estate tax relief for the elderly and permanently disabled. An application must be filed with the commissioner's office each year by March 31.
