6. How much wall signage is allowed in commercial areas?

Signage allowed is based on a formula that considers the length of the structure. The maximum signage allowed is 350 square feet.

7. Do I need a permit to replace an existing commercial sign face?

Yes, you need a sign permit for any change other than routine maintenance.

8. What is the maximum height allowed for a fence in the rear yard?

Maximum height allowed for a fence in the rear yard is 7 feet.

9. Do I need a permit to build a fence?

Yes, when you add a new fence (which is not part of a swimming pool enclosure). Fences must be 7 feet or less in height for side yards and rear yards, and 42" or less in height for front yards. Also, refer to subdivision covenants (if applicable).

10. What kinds of repairs or improvements are eligible for a home repair grant?

Eligible activities or repairs include but are not limited to:

• Faulty porches and steps
• Faulty roofs
• Lead-based paint testing
• Unsafe electrical, heating or plumbing systems

Ineligible activities consist of:

• Repairs of a cosmetic nature
• Repairs to garages or any structure not attached to the living unit
• Repairs to sheds
• Unnecessary physical improvements
