Notice of Public Hearings at August 14th City Council Meeting

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
CITY OF COLONIAL HEIGHTS PLANNING COMMISSION & CITY OF COLONIAL HEIGHTS CITY COUNCIL

Please take notice that at its August 7, 2018 regular meeting, which shall be held at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers of City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia, the Planning Commission shall hold a public hearing on amendments to the City's FY2019-FY2023 Capital Improvements Plan (CIP).

Please also take notice that at its August 14, 2018 regular meeting, which shall be held at 7:00pm in Council Chambers of City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia, the City Council shall hold a public hearing on amendments to the City's FY2019-FY2023 Capital Improvements Plan (CIP).

Proposed amendments include the following:
Additional school projects: $1,295,343
Adding the Tri-Cities Multi-Modal Station: City funds of $1,000,000, total cost $12,000,000
Transferring funds from Appomattox Greenway Trail Phase V to Appomattox Greenway Trail Phase IV: $415,000

A copy of the proposed amendments may be viewed during regular business hours in the Department of Planning and Community Development and in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia, or by calling 520-9297. A copy of the proposed amendments may be viewed on the City's website, www.colonialheightsva.gov. All persons affected or interested are invited to be present at the public hearing of the Planning Commission and the public hearing of the City Council, to be held at the times and places stated above, when an opportunity will be given for them to be heard.

CITY OF COLONIAL HEIGHTS, VIRGINIA

Notice is hereby given to all persons affected or interested that at the Colonial Heights City Council meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, in Council Chambers of City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia, the City Council shall hold a public hearing to accept comments on the following:

AN ORDINANCE NO. 18-27
To approve a special use permit to Patricia Szafranski allowing a 190 foot monopole tower (199 feet with appurtenance) with associated 50’ x 50’ fenced compound to be installed on her 3.425 acre parcel located between 1024 and 1025 Taylor Lane; such parcel also being known by parcel identification number 65010000007.

A copy of the proposed ordinance is on file for public examination during regular business hours in the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia and on the City’s website www.colonialheightsva.gov. All persons affected or interested are invited to be present at the public hearings of the City Council, to be held at the time and place stated above, when an opportunity will be given for them to be heard.
