[ARCHIVED] 2018 FOLAR Spring River Clean-up scheduled for Saturday March 24th

FOLAR 2018 Spring Cleanup

Come out and help restore healthy shorelines by removing litter, debris, and trash from local lands along the Appomattox River with the Friends of the Lower Appomattox River (FOLAR) at their annual Spring River Clean-up on Saturday, March 24, 2018.


Meet at these sites March 24th between 9AM – 12 Noon along the lower Appomattox River


Appomattox River Regional Park, 800 FOLAR Trail, Prince George, VA 23860 - Ken and Debbie Newman, Captains
Patton Park, University Ave., Petersburg 23806 – Heather Barrar, Wendy Austin, Captains
Hopewell City Marina, 1051 Riverside Ave. Hopewell 23860 - Johnny Partin, Captain
Ferndale Appomattox Riverside Park, Ferndale Rd., Dinwiddie 23805 - LuAnn Collier, Captain
Dinwiddie Lake Chesdin Public Boat Ramp (Southern Shore) Directions: From Petersburg, Rt460W;R on Rt226;R on Rt600;L on Rt601;R on Rt776 - Chris Rizzo, Captain
Roslyn Landing Park, 265 Charles Dimmock Pkwy, Colonial Heights 23834 – Craig Skalak (520-9224) and C.H.A.R.T.S


FOLAR Site Captains will be at each location from 9:00AM to Noon to provide trash bags and assistance. Bring your own work gloves and wear sturdy shoes.
