The I-95 Temple Avenue Improvements Project is currently underway. VDOT, along with its contractor, Allan Myers, estimate a project completion date of December 2017.

This design-build project will realign the entrance and exit ramps at the I-95 interchange at Temple Avenue and replace the signalized intersection with a roundabout. The roundabout will be relocated west of the current intersection and will include two lanes for traffic and a continuous bypass lane on the westbound approach. The I-95 ramps will be extended and improved to provide better sight distance, vehicle capacity and transition from interstate speeds to the Temple Avenue roundabout. This plan will require removing the Temple Avenue bridges to construct the roundabout.
