Notice of Public Hearing: Colonial Heights Draft 2044 Comprehensive Plan

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
 CITY OF COLONIAL HEIGHTS, VIRGINIA


The City of Colonial Heights and the City Planning Commission have drafted revisions to the 2044 Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan provides a framework to guide local leaders in decisions affecting community development within the City. The plan provides an overall vision for the City’s future and covers a variety of subject matters, including land use, transportation, the environment, and public facilities. State law requires the plan to be reviewed every five years, and City staff has and the Colonial Heights Planning Commission conducted the required plan review. 

Notice is hereby given to all persons affected or interested that on April 6, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., the Colonial Heights Planning Commission shall hold a public hearing in Council Chambers of City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia, to accept comments on the City’s draft revisions to the 2044 Comprehensive Plan that the City staff and the Planning Commission have drafted. 

And notice is also hereby given to all persons affected or interested that on June 8, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., the Colonial Heights City Council shall hold a public hearing in Council Chambers of City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia, to accept comments on the City’s draft revisions to the 2044 Comprehensive Plan. 

Copies of the proposed revisions to the 2044 Comprehensive Plan are on file for public examination during regular business hours in the Department of Planning and Community Development, City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia, or the revisions may be obtained by calling 520-9297. The revised 2044 Comprehensive Plan  may also be viewed on the City’s website, www.colonialheightsva.gov. All persons affected or interested are invited to be present at the public hearings of the Planning Commission and City Council, to be held at the times and place stated above, when an opportunity will be given for them to be heard.
