The Colonial Heights Historical Society will kick off its autumn lecture series on Wednesday, September 13th. Paul Morando, Director of the Quartermaster Museum at Fort Lee will present a program on the new “World War I” exhibit at the museum. The massive exhibit showcases the roll and contributions of the Quartermaster Corp, and includes several rare artifacts used to supply and sustain the American Expeditionary Forces engaged in trench warfare. Morando will also speak about the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Camp Lee in 1917.
The program is free and open to the public, and begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Library, 1000 Yacht Basin Drive.
